Actress Han Ye Seul impressed many fashionistas with her chic pictorial for InStyle magazine.

InStyle and Marc by Marc Jacobs dressed the actress in casual, yet vividly colored pieces for her photoshoot in Bali. In the top shot, for example, Han Ye Seul wore coral-colored bermuda shorts and a cropped long sleeve. While the outfit is fairly casual, Han Ye Seul’s pin-straight hair and smoky eyes allowed it to become a sophisticated look.

HyunA and Hyunseung have unveiled their photoshoot with ‘High Cut‘ magazine!

Combining the luxurious colors of gold and red, the two played up the festive atmosphere of Christmas for their first couple photoshoot together. As if performing a routine straight out of their choreography, the two impressed staff members by easily pulling off some sexy poses without any hesitation.

HyunA showed off her lean legs in a golden spangle dress while Hyunseung channeled a beastlier look in an Yves Saint Laurent pants, a Sung Jin fur vest, and Dior Homme high tops.

HyunA’s golden jacket is from Balmain, and under it, she wears a black jersey jump suit from Elie Tahari. Hyunseung matched her in Prada pants and a metallic shirt.

In their warmer red and white look, HyunA’s wearing a 96 New York red muffler as a dress while Hyunseungs decked from head to toe in white pieces from Neil Barrett.

On December 20th, stars showed off their fall fashion at the VIP movie premiere for ‘Wonderful Radio‘ at Samsung-dong’s Megabox.

KARA & SNSD Airport photos leaving for Japan

On December 18th, two of Korea’s biggest girl groups departed for Japan in preparation for their performances at the ‘Music Station Super Live‘.

Though Japan is only a short flight away, SNSD and KARA both opted for comfort and practicality in their airport fashion, as opposed to their usual cosmopolitan style. Since Korea is facing one of its coldest days of the season so far, the girls were seen bundled up in several layers with a thick jacket over top. Fashionistas immediately noticed that the girls chose boots that were either flat (ie: sheepskin boots) or had two inch-heels.

‘Music Station Super Live’ is a year-end music event held by TV Asahi, and will be broadcasted live on December 23rd from Chiba’s Makuhari Messe hall. SNSD and KARA will be performing with the likes of Lady Gaga, Arashi, EXILE, L’Arc~en~Ciel, Perfume, and TVXQ to name a few.

Actress Go Ara showcased a fresh new appeal.

Until now, she has been praised for her flawless beauty, being called ‘goddess’, and ‘doll-like’, but for her most recent Elle Girl photo shoot, Go Ara ditched the party dress and sported a more tom-boy image.

The staff members on set were surprised by her transformation and remarked, “We saw a whole new side of her that we have yet to see until today.”

During the interview, Go Ara remarked, “I suddenly became this ‘goddess’ and ‘doll’ without even knowing about it. I am grateful that people view me that way, but my personality is more laid back and down-to-earth. When it comes to food, I really enjoy street food as opposed to fine dining.”

The actress has two movies scheduled to be released next year, ‘PaPa‘, and ‘Pace Maker‘. “I learned and felt a lot of new things as I filmed both movies. My hope is that when viewers watch the movie,they will feel the same joy that I felt while shooting it.”

Dynamic Duo rocks hip hop fashion

Dynamic Duo has become a hot topic amongst old-school K-Pop fans, thanks to their 90′s-inspired stage fashion.

When the boys performed on December 11th’s episode of SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo‘, they came out in hip hop gear that was popular before their debut. Older K-Pop fans felt nostalgic when they saw Gaeko and Choiza rocking Timberland boots, baggy sweatpants and hoodies two sizes too big for them, as well as beanies and bandanas. They finished the look by rolling up a pant leg and donning large, heavy chains around their necks.

After the program aired, the boys explained, “The concept for our performance ensemble was inspired by the first issue of ‘Bounce Magazine‘. We would love to do a rap battle with the Wu-Tang Clan over some drum cans on a day like today.”

Dynamic Duo is currently promoting their title track “Burning Friday” from their 6th full-length album, ‘DIGILOG 1/2‘. The second half of the album is scheduled to be released early next year.

Before performing at the 2011 MAMA that took place at Singapore Indoor Stadium on November 29th, the ladieswere present at the Singapore Marina Bay Sands Hotlel to attend a related press conference. The girls appeared professional and classy, living up to their title as the queens of Hallyu as they shared their thoughts on standing on the MAMA stage.

200 reporters from 120 different media sources were at the press conference, and the girls were flooded with various questions as they are gaining popularity not only in Korea and Asia but overseas in Europe as well.

When asked, “How long does it take to perfect your makeup for a large-scale performance such as MAMA?”, the girls responded, “Stage makeup takes anywhere from 2-3 hours“, further proving how diligent the SNSD girls are to perfect their performance, starting with their external appearance.

A German reporter then asked, “You have a lot of fans in Germany as well. Would you be able to come perform in Germany in the future?”, to which the girls responded, “We are always ready to go where our fans want us, whether it be Germany or elsewhere“.

“We think that the 2011 MAMA will be a good opportunity for us to communicate with a lot of different people through our music. It’s another chance for us to more intimately share our music“, they continued.

The 13th annual MAMA was streamed live in thirteen different countries including Singapore, Japan, and Thailand, while the taped event will be broadcasted in seven countries including America, China, and France.

2NE1 in "2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards"

On November 27th, 2NE1 turned heads with their unique airport fashion as they headed for Singapore to attend the "2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards" (MAMA).

Known for their unique sense of style, the girls surprised many fans with their outfit choices. Sandara Park stood out the most thanks to her bright pink jacket, aside from that, however, she played it casual with comfortable jeans and loafers. It hardly seemed like it was winter at the ‘32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards, as actresses in pastel-colored dresses made the red carpet bloom.

On November 25th, stars gathered at Kyung Hee University’s Hall of Peace in Dongdaemun, Seoul, to take part in the annual film awards. Since it’s one of the most prestigious events in K-entertainment, many expected actresses to pull up in the traditional colors of red, black, and white. This year, however, there was a mutual consensus to step out of the ordinary and deliver something enchanting and wonderfully feminine.

Kim Hye Soo, who was nominated for Best Actress for her role in ‘Villain and Widow‘, wore a dove grey, off-shoulder dress that clung to her figure. The broad, angled cut around the neckline left an effect that was sophisticated, yet sexy.

Another strong nominee for the Best Actress award, Tang Wei from ’Late Autumn‘, wore a full green-grey dress that didn’t look a bit dowdy, as its lace detailing gave it a sense of elegance.

Actresses Choi Kang Hee, Jung Ryeo Won, and Nam Gyuri all also chose to wear long dresses that were close to a nude color, though all three were insightful enough to ensure that there were enough playful details like frills and bejewelled beading to prevent their look from being too dull.

2NE1, the first Korean artists posed for ‘WWD Japan’

The ladies of 2NE1 have become the first Korean artists to grace the cover of popular Japanese fashion magazine, ‘WWD Japan‘!

2NE1 were chosen as cover models for the magazine’s winter issue, which allowed them to join the ranks of many other famous women in Japan who previously graced the cover such as professional skater Asada Mao and actress Miyazawa Rie.

For their pictorial, 2NE1 wore French brand Balmain, which gave them an elegant gloss to their fierce charisma. Reportedly, the members’ outfits had cost around 25 million yen (approximately 322,872 USD).

On November 3rd, a few photo’s from Son Dambi‘s H&T pictorial were revealed, proving that she is indeed a sexy queen with her ‘S’ line figure.

The singer is endorsing the brand’s latest Fall fashion line and the outfit that garnered the most attention was her all-black ensemble consisting of an aviator jacket, mini lace dress, and high heel boots.

To complete the sexy look, she donned smoky makeup and wore her long brown hair in wavy curls.

Along with preparing to make her comeback, Son Dambi is also busy promoting her newest MBC drama ‘Light and Shadow‘, which will air its first episode on November 28.

On November 2nd, SNSD guested on MBC Radio‘s ‘Stop the Boring Time‘. Fans who tuned in also got treated to visuals recently, as a collection of selcas and snapshots from the studio made its way online.

Since it’s been a little chilly lately, the girls wore warm outfits with statement pieces ranging from brand-name cardigans to thick woolen scarves and mittens. Though its been four years since they’ve debuted, SNSD’s upbeat personalities haven’t changed as they were seen goofing around in the studio.

Singer IU stepped onto the red carpet to attend the 2011 Style Icon Awards that took place at the CJ E&M Center at 8pm on November 3rd.

The singer was dressed in a simple black dress with a pair of gold shoes, along with a black-and-gold handbag to match. What caught the attention of netizens, however, was the sheer area of the dress that exposed a bit of cleavage. This concept was different from the wholesome adorable ‘little-sister’ IU that fans were accustomed to.

This was the fourth Style Icon Awards to take place and the top actors, singers, designers and models were in attendance. Kim Min Jun, Cha Yerin and Park Youngrin served as MCs and the event was streamed live through OliveTV, On Style, XTM, tvN, and Mnet.

Singer / actor Kim Hyun Joong took home the ‘KIA Soul People’s Choice‘ award at the 2011 Style Icon Awards that took place on November 3rd.

The Style Icon Awards took place at the CJ E&M Center and Cha Yae Ryun, Kim Min Jun and Park Young Rin served as MCs.

Kim Hyun Joong had earned the most votes for the People’s Choice award, and it was his third consecutive award that he had been honored with at the particular event.

He stated, “I’m so glad to be able to receive this award three years in a row. If it weren’t for all my fans, I wouldn’t have been able to win this award. Thank you to all my fans.”

The event is an annual event that awards the figures that have produced the newest paradigms of style for the past year.

Lee Hyori and her adorable puppy were found in this month’s edition of ’Oh Boy!‘ magazine.

The beloved animal activist sported winter pieces from clothing brand ‘Topgirl’, and displayed a variety of looks to showcase a chic, yet casual style. The points for this collection seem to lie in statement jackets, like boyish military coats and feminine red-checkered jackets. Trench coats with animal print lining and cute capes add a sense of fun, sending the message that winter gear doesn’t have to be drab or boring.

Since Lee Hyori was a Topgirl spokesmodel from the company’s inception, she was quite comfortable with the brand’s styling. In return, Topgirl was able to highlight the singer’s stunning body and charismatic gazes in their pictures. Her dog Soonshim was on set as well to keep Hyori company and add a special ‘natural’ touch to the entire shoot.

Back in October, we reported that famous designer Jeremy Scott would be introducing a new Adidas collection inspired by his close friends, 2NE1.

The fierce foursome made an appearance today at the Adidas Original store in Myundong, Seoul for a photo session event introducing the ‘JS Collage Wing x 2NE1‘ collection. As expected, 2NE1 wore Jeremy Scott’s fashion pieces while showing off his ‘JS Collage Wings x 2NE1′ shoes. CL and Minzy drew especial attention with their radical change in hairstyles.

As mentioned previously, the ‘JS Collage Wings x 2NE1′ shoes has elements derived from 2NE1′s music, character, fashion style, and individual member qualities. In order to express the mix-and-match style unique to 2NE1, Jeremy Scott decided to incorporate the use of the collage technique.

Actor So Ji Sub recently posed for High Cut Magazine, donning a new baby-perm hairstyle for a suave and masculine look.

The handsome actor looked completely comfortable posing for the shoot, showcasing his intense stare with just the right poses to show off his appeal.

Reportedly, one shot in which the actor is seen lying down revealing his ribs left all the ladies on set giggling like school girls.

The ‘2012 S/S Seoul Fashion Week‘ kicked off earlier this week with a bevy of top stars lining up at the SETEC to attend fashion shows by their favorite designers.

On October 19th, stars like Lee Hyori, KARA‘s Hara, 4minute‘s Gayoon and Jiyoon, SNSD‘s Jessica, Jo Yoon Hee, Yoon Seung Ah and many more were seen checking out the collections of various designers. Fans were excited to see their favorite stars step out of their stage outfits and into something more unique.

Women’s clothing brand ‘McGINN‘ has brought together six male stars to model for their latest ‘artist winter outer collection’ photoshoot, ‘Boys Like McGINN‘.

The collection was inspired by the six artists modeling for the photoshoot, who include U-KISS, ZE:A, TEEN TOP, DJ DOC‘s Lee Haneul, and MC Boom – all of whom were brought together for their “unique energy and creative soul.”

Interestingly enough, all of the coats worn by the men are for ladies.

The pieces worn by the men will be put up for auction for McGINN’s star donation campaign. Stars will also be donating items that are dear to them to be auctioned off online. All profits made from the auction will go towards the ‘Beautiful Foundation’.

She looked absolutely mesmerizing exposing her bare shoulder in a long ruffled skirt, and gave a fierce pose in a gold-colored tube dress that traced her long, shapely legs. Her flashy yet delicate & feminine pink eye-make up caught the attention of netizens everywhere.

Earlier in the year, W Korea revealed pictorials from ‘SM Town Live in Paris’ pictorials featuring SNSD, Super Junior, TVXQ, SHINee, f(x), and many others.

Although the shoot took place in the early morning hours after their SM concert in Paris, the fans reportedly still showed up, trying to steal a glimpse of their favorite artists.

A photo of singer Lee Hyori wearing the same floral-print outfit as her dog ‘Soonshim‘ has recently caught the attention of netizens everywhere.

The singer uploaded two photos via her Twitter page with the caption, “by steve j & yoni p“.

Lee Hyori has recently been called out for wearing a leather jacket, which some found hypocritical for someone who strongly defends animal rights.

On the 6th, she tweeted, “Hi everyone, I guess it’s because the weather is getting cooler lately, but I have been seeing more and more fur coats at the department stores. Sure, I used to wear them too because I thought they were fashionable. But now I realize that loving and embracing these animals is much more fulfilling and meaningful than wearing one of them on my back. How about we refrain from buying expensive fur and leather coats and buy other clothes that will keep us warm? I would like everyone to come with me to take care of these homeless animals, and then we can drink soju all night. How about it?”

Although she was probably half-joking, her genuine heart for animals and their well-being was highly evident. She has been praised by netizens for her volunteer work with animals.
